Among other activites, hiking (from several hours up to one day) and trekking (more than one day) and definitely part of the best experience you can have in the Dali region. Several paths start from the village where the guesthouse is located and you can either hike with the staff of the Lodge or ask us to help to find local people willing to share some time with you.
The most famous hike from the guesthous is the one going up the Mountain
Ji Zu Shan 鸡足山 (Shan, 山, means mountain in Chinese). It a quite serious hike (26 kilometers long, roughly 1700 to 1800 meters total elevation) that would take 8 hours if you are fit.

Based in Dali Old town, our friends from the
local trekking agency Amiwa Trek offer several option to trek in the surrounding mountains.
